Gutter and Gutter Guard Installation Services

Your gutter system is one of the most important parts of your home's exterior, directing rainwater safely away from your roof, siding, foundation, and landscaping. Without properly functioning gutters, water can cause costly damage such as erosion, basement leaks, wood rot, and foundation issues. Adding quality gutter guards helps keep leaves, twigs, and debris out of your gutters, allowing water to flow freely while reducing the need for frequent cleaning and maintenance. At Home Comfort Exteriors, we install durable seamless gutter systems and premium Shur Flo gutter guards designed to protect your home year after year!

Gutter and

Gutter Guard FAQs

  • How do I know when I need to replace my gutters?

If they are leaking, dented, sagging, or pulling away from your home, those are usually good signs that it is time to consider a replacement. A lot of older gutter systems were installed with nails, which can loosen over time. Today, we use proper gutter screws that hold much more securely and help the system stay in place long-term.

  • Are your gutters seamless?

Yes, our gutters are seamless, and custom made on site to fit your home specifically. That means fewer joints and seams, which helps reduce the chances of leaks and gives everything a cleaner, more finished look.

  • What size gutter and downspout should I choose?

The right size really depends on your home—things like the size of your roof, how steep it is, and how far the water has to travel all play a role.

Most homes use either 5-inch or 6-inch gutters, along with 2x3 or 3x4 downspouts. In general, larger roofs or steeper pitches often benefit from larger gutters and downspouts to handle more water more efficiently.

If you’re not sure what you need, we can take a look and help you choose the setup that makes the most sense for your home.

  • How many downspouts do I need?

At a minimum, every gutter run needs at least one downspout to move water away from your home. From there, it really depends on the length of the gutter and how much water it needs to handle.

Longer runs often benefit from a second downspout to help everything drain more efficiently and prevent overflow during heavy rain. If you’re unsure, we can always take a look and recommend what will work best for your specific home.

  • Are your gutters available in colors other than white?

Yes—gutters come in a variety of color options beyond white so you can better match your home’s trim and overall look. Keep in mind that specialty or upgraded colors do come with an additional cost.

If you’d like, we can help you pick a color that blends in nicely with your home.

  • Do I need gutter guards?

It depends on your home and surroundings. If you have a lot of trees nearby, your gutters are more likely to fill up with leaves and debris, requiring regular cleaning.

Gutter guards can help with that by keeping most of the leaves and larger debris out of your gutters so water can flow more freely. They do not completely eliminate maintenance but definitely reduce the frequency.
